Performing exercise is a key and fundamental role in anatomical changes during pregnancy. At Miguel Angel Wellness Club we have the process guided by one of our specialists so that you discover each stage of pregnancy in a positive and controlled way.

Although we recommend having a previous experience to exercise, women who begin body work can also perform physical activity at a lighter pace benefitting not only the physical part, but also work an emotional framework during gestational periods.

Objectives in the pre-birth sessions

  • Guarantee a good condition and physical recovery during and after delivery.
  • Condition the body for changes in pregnancy.
  • Prepare the pelvic floor to support the weight gain.
  • Maintain joint mobility
  • Improve circulation with controlled cardiovascular work.
  • Muscle maintenance (strengthening and toning) to not lose tone.
  • Flexibility work (muscle elongation).
  • To look for the optimum state of mind for each stage, a good development needs an emotional stability.

Benefits of practicing physical activity during pregnancy

  • Reduces back pain due to changes in pelvic stability and weight gain.
  • It allows to drain retained liquids.
  • Avoid the possible pyramidal syndrome, very common in pregnant women.
  • It avoids the dysfunction of the pubic symphysis.

Caution during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, for risk of miscarriage.

  • If contractions appear or there is associated pain.
  • When there are pathologies associated with pregnancy (gestational diabetes, dilation before the birth period ...)
  • If there is loss of fluid or blood.
  • Bony or ligamentous lesions
  • Cardiac or pulmonary disorders.
  • Arterial hypertension.
  • Placenta previa or implanted near the cervix.
  • Previous abortions.
